A morning meeting gives students a chance to connect, build classroom community, practice important social skills, and prepare their brains for learning. It’s more than just a way to fill those first few minutes of the day. It helps students feel welcomed, valued, and ready for what comes next.

Think about what happens when students walk into your classroom each morning. Some students are excited and ready to share about their weekend. Others are still waking up and need a little extra time to transition from home to school. Some students walk in with lots of energy and are already ready to move before the first lesson even begins.
